Danielle Scanlon – Fosse:Prelude (2009), Beneath The White City Lights (2012) –
Danielle Scanlon is a 2007 Cum Laude honors graduate from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA with a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz and Classical Ballet. She also trained in San Francisco with Alonzo King LINES Ballet. She was awarded the 2006 Rising Star Scholarship Award for Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts, and was also selected to attend the American College Dance Festival. Danielle has been a guest artist for the Johnstown Ballet and Toledo Ballet Theatre. In her college career, she performed works by Ron De Jesús, Jiabin Pan, Francis Patrelle, Danny Buraczeski, Christian Holder, and Margo Sappington as well as faculty works by Kiesha Lalama-White, Doug Bentz, Peter Merz, Jay Kirk, and Nicolas Petrov. At Point Park she performed the role of Ivy Smith in the musical “On the Town.” Danielle was given the opportunity to perform in the finale of Dance for Life in 2008 choreographed by Randy Duncan. She is the Co-Artistic Director for the Thodos/Menomonee Club Youth Ensemble and an adult dance fitness instructor with the Chicago Sport and Social Club. She is also the administrator of the TDC’s Dancer Wellness Program. Danielle has been with Thodos Dance Chicago since 2007.
