… Okay, so the Miami Short Film Festival was a blast, and Miami was beautiful, but returning to Chicago and having to shovel snow this morning was just kind of cruel. But enough about snow… Let’s talk about the exceptionally cool Miami Short Film Fest!
From the very top, William, the film fest’s Founder, and Brenda, the fest’s Marketing Director, were both exceptional people, great to work with, and a lot of fun too. Our film “Butterfly” was presented as part of the “WORD” program at the Miami Beach Cinematheque, which contained some pretty spectacular films, all dealing in some way with the interpretation of the written word. (A special “Kai Harding Kudos” to the filmmakers of “Interpretation”… a really nice film that set a great tone for the whole evening!) The Miami Beach Cinematheque was an awesome and intimate venue, which made for a pretty cool post-screening Q&A session afterwards, featuring Butterfly’s Director Chris Olsen. And of course, to all our fellow foodies out there, the local sushi (and AMAZING chocolate crepes) were fantastic, and kept us well fueled as we explored all of Miami on foot!
Thankfully we took a lot of pics to remind of us of warmer times, while we clear the streets here in the windy city…
